i got bored, sooo i started playing around with my pocket knife, throwing it at a cardboard box repeatedly, trying to get it to stick (i like play with sharp things, dont judge me ) as I did this (with little success,) i realized i needed a proper throwing knife for this type of thing,
so i spent a few hours researching throwing knives / how to make them, (originally i was wanting to actually forge one with a fire+hammer, but it would have been more difficult to do.. maybe next time)
well now i gotta practice using this baby 8) (i hope to make some different throwing knives in the future ^_^)
the knife is about 10" long, (interesting fact: this was actually made from the piece of a broken chair)
Time Taken: - 5-6 hours sawing out the crude knife - another several hours spent filing it - a little over 1 hour spent sanding it
Tools Used: - vicegrip - a hand saw - a coping saw (who's blade snapped halfway thru sawing >.> ) - a large variety of metal files - 150 fine sandpaper (i should have gotten some different grains =.= )
Not bad for a first go. Hope its heat treated though, or it could bend on you. Can't wait to see your next one. Oh, and check out this place for some advice. [link]

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
